A new age of PC gaming begins in 2023. With the RTX 3060 and its Ti variant becoming increasingly popular, multi-platform games are no longer held back by outdated hardware.
This shift has allowed a wide variety of titles to be released, from remakes to brand-new IPs.
Our list of the most anticipated games for 2023 is a mix of all of these, and there’s something for every kind of gamer.
Dead Space, a long-awaited survival horror game, is set to release on January 27. It has been rebuilt from the ground up, and the new Peeling system allows for more realistic limb dismemberment. The game will require a Ryzen 5 5600X or Core i5-11600K combined with an RTX 2070. Company of Heroes 3, a beloved RTS game, arrives on February 23. It features two full campaigns set during World War II, a tactical pause in single-player mode, and fully destructible environments. The recommended specs are a Ryzen 5 5600X or Core i5-11600K paired with an RTX 2070 Super or Radeon RX 5700 XT.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, another long-awaited sequel, is set to arrive in December. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it features anomalies, mutants, bandits, and new enemies. An RTX 2070 Super, Radeon RX 5700 XT, or GTX 1080 Ti is recommended. Diablo IV, the latest installment in Blizzard’s RPG franchise, is scheduled for a June 6 release. It’s a full-price game with a Cosmetics Shop and Season Pass but no pay-for-power options. It requires a Ryzen 5 5600X or Core i5-11600K combined with an RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6800 XT.
Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world action RPG set within Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, is set to launch on February 10. Players can customize their Hogwarts student and join one of the four houses, each with unique traits and companions.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is set to arrive on March 17. It follows Cal Kestis, now a full Jedi Knight, and features additional Force abilities, new lightsaber fighting styles, and larger areas to explore. It requires 130GB of storage space.
Finally, Resident Evil 4, a survival-action-horror remake, is set to release on March 24. It features updated graphics, gameplay mechanics, controls, and a reimagined storyline. It requires a Ryzen 7 5800X or Core i7-11700K paired with an RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6800 XT.
