Today Sega released a new trailer for the upcoming action game Like a Dragon: Ishin!, which is set to launch next month.
The video focuses on the new Trooper Cards mechanic, a reimagined version of a feature included in the original Ishin. The feature allows players to collect cards representing various allies that can be used in battle to create various effects.
The PS Vita version of the game had a Battle Dungeon feature that was designed to be played via the PS Vita companion app, however since developers no longer support the console, the mechanic has been altered to work during the main portion of the game. You can watch the trailer below. We’ve also seen trailers about the title’s many minigames and another about the “Another Life” feature.
Like a Dragon: Ishin! releases on February 21, 2023 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. This game version is not the same as the one titled Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin! that launched in Japan in 2014. It is instead a substantial remake, similar to the Yakuza Kiwami games. In Japan, the game is titled “Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin! Kiwami.”
