The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution has been confirmed for PlayStation VR2’s launch window, with Skydance Interactive announcing its release date for PS VR2 and PC headsets. The game will be available on March 21 for $39.99, and the first game will be released on the same day for PS VR2. These new ports will feature improvements based on feedback from the Meta Quest 2 version that was released in December 2022, with saves transferrable between all three platforms (PS VR2, Steam, and Meta). As a bonus, players across all platforms will receive an in-game weapon called “The Orphan” on March 23.
The team said to “stay tuned” regarding a port for the original PS VR version, which was left out of the announcement. Meanwhile, the first game is celebrating its third anniversary on January 23. To mark the occasion, Skydance revealed that the first game would be coming to PS VR2 on March 21 as a free upgrade for those who have already purchased it. This is rare, as many studios have chosen to charge for the newer version. It is unclear if those who grabbed the first game for free on PlayStation Plus in November 2021 will also get the free upgrade.
Meta players can buy the first two games in a bundle on sale for $59.99 until February 6, and a free limited-time demo for the first game will let users play the first 30 minutes.
