After a few years of being an iOS exclusive, Various Daylife has finally launched on Android, but not everyone is happy with the game’s price tag. Square Enix’s Various Daylife is an RPG set in the city of Antocia, a newly-discovered land in the year 211 of the Imperial Empire. Players aim to live their best life in the city of Erebia.
Nice Game, Hefty Price
The Android community has had a mixed response to Various Daylife. Despite the positive feedback, the game has only received over 100 downloads on Google Play since its release two days ago. One of the main reasons for this could be the game’s price. Various Daylife costs £18.99 in the UK and $20+ in the US, which is significantly higher than most Android mobile games, especially RPGs. Moreover, the game isn’t even new; first released on iOS in 2019.
In a Reddit post on r/AndroidGaming, the community voiced their disappointment. One user, @Fallen_winged_boy, commented on someone’s interest in the game, “same but 25 € for a mobile game”.
From iOS Exclusive To Multi-Platform Game
Daylife has had quite the journey, initially launching in 2019 as an iOS exclusive. It was released on Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4 in late 2022. For unknown reasons, Android was late to the Various Daylife party. You can now purchase the game on Google Play.
