Today Capcom released another video of a match between two of the fighters in the upcoming Street Fighter 6, Blanka and JP.
The match is between the developers and in the traditional three-round format, giving us a good look at how these two characters play in the new installment of the popular fighting series. It’s an interesting pairing as Blanka has been around since Street Fighter II while JP is a brand-new fighter.
You can see the match for yourself below.
For those unfamiliar with the characters, here’s a description of Blanka and the Ranger’s Hut stage associated with him: “A kindhearted defender of nature, Blanka has become an adventure tour guide, confident his intimate knowledge of the jungle will serve as a springboard to fame—and a comfortable life for his beloved mother.” JP, which stands for Johann Pavlovich, is the head of an international nonprofit organization responsible for Nayshall’s prosperity. He has a cat named Cybele, and his moves include the powerful Departure, the clone-deploying Torbalan, the Embrace grab, and the destructive Interdiction.
This video follows another showcasing Marisa versus Manon and one focusing on Dee Jay versus Dhalsim. Street Fighter 6 is set to release on June 2, 2023, and will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It will also be released in arcades through Taito, though this version will likely only be available in Japan.
